men

Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17)

Whether shooting hoops together, studying God's Word and praying together or just doing things with other Christian families, we seek to help you grow in your relationships with God, your family, the church and the world.

Winning. We all want to win. We strive to be successful in the marketplace. We desire to faithfully love and nurture our wives and kids. We want to effectively serve the Lord and our community. We want to win at the game of life. Even the Apostle Paul was motivated by winning. Paul said, "…Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever…[so that] I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." (1 Cor. 9:24,25,27)

Men's Ministry is like a coaching staff. Because we are Christian men, we understand the obstacles Christian men face as they run the race of living distinctively Christian lives in a post-Christian world. Discipleship Drills such as Men in the Word and Encouragement Teams (Small groups of men who meet to pray for and encourage one another) are designed to develop spiritual strength. Team-building drills like the Chili Cook-off build community among men at CCPC. The Father/Son Camping Trip and other events also provide opportunities for Dads to build their family relationships.
