Daughter Connection
Wednesday, 19 January 2011 19:18
A ministry for 7th and 8th grade girls and their moms. Our goal and vision through this ministry is to see these young women brought up to love the Lord wholeheartedly. Our desire is to help the girls build stronger relationships with their moms and to communicate openly about the issues they face. We want for them to know who they are in Christ and understand what it means to be a faithful Christ follower. The girls will learn how the Bible addresses the issues they face in today's culture. Through our workshops and activities we aid the girls in becoming equipped with the Biblical knowledge, self-esteem, and practical take-away applications that will help them to avoid temptation and grow in the Lord. We are not afraid to engage on tough topics such as friendships, gossip, dating, drugs, depression, sex, eating disorders, cultural/media messages, and more. As moms and mentors of these girls we are seeking to holistically prepare them for their high school years and beyond.
