Philosophy

Intentionality and Truth resides over all the relational opportunities available with the CCPC Student Ministries. Below is a visual model depicting our method of doing ministry. You will see the key elements that create the relational environment we try to provide for students and their mentors.

truth

Truth is presented either formally or organically in everything we do within Student Ministries. It is what holds us to Christ, and creates an environment of love, trust, and a firm foundation.

smallgroupsEvery student is placed in a small group: a smaller community of peers and two mentors where students can share about life and study how to bring Christ to the center of their lives.

1to1Our staff and supporting volunteer leaders seek to build personal relationships with our students. From coffee meetings to attending sporting events these one-on-one ministry opportunities aid in creating mentor relationships every student needs.

1to5

1-to-5s are opportunities to build relationships among peers. From a dinner outing to numerous recreational activities these fun times allow students to bond with each other and their mentors.

biggroupBig group gives a chance for High School, Middle School, adult leaders, and occasionally families to all come together in a time of fun fellowship. Gathering Feasts, six.33, Revive, and Fall Retreat are our most notable big group opportunities.

bodyIt is our desire to see the Student Ministries plugged into the church body as a whole. We seek Inter-Generational Ministry opportunities to pull in adults from the congregation to impact our students as well as provide students opportunities to serve within other church ministries.

servingJust as Christ came to serve, Student Ministries seeks to encourage and provide students with opportunities to serve those around them in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. Students serve in local church ministry, throughout Denver, and on missions within cross-cultural experiences.

adultsResearch has shown that students who have at least five adults building into their lives through middle and high school have greater chances for success when they move out on their own. Student Ministries seeks to provide these adult mentors in the lives of our students through our staff, small group adult leaders, and partnering with families.

pwfPartnering with Families: A student's development is most greatly impacted by their families. It is at home where a personal relationship with Christ can be best exampled and developed for students. Student Ministries trusts in this truth and desires to come alongside those families giving them resources and support in this great opportunity to lead their children to Christ.

teachingOur relational foundation gives strong opportunities to teach Biblical truth to students. This happens in a formal fashion in Sunday School, six:33 - our Wednesday night Middle School gathering, and Revive - our Sunday night High School gathering.

crmCamps Retreats and Missions: We believe because of experience that our camps, retreats and mission trips are one of our strongest ministry opportunities. These times provide space for students to drop their boundaries and interact with Christ in a way that their regular routines may not allow. During these trips are opportunities for 1-to-1s, 1-to-5s, big group, small groups, serving, adult impact, and teaching.
