young adults

The Young Adult Ministry at CCPC seeks to make young adults into disciples of Jesus Christ for their own growth in Christlikeness so that they might become missionaries in their communities.

The years following college can often be tumultuous and transitional. It might be hard to develop meaningful friendships and to find steady and worthwhile employment. We want the Young Adult Ministry at CCPC to be place where young adults find that sense of belonging and stability amidst a challenging life stage. We also really desire to see young adults grow in the Christian faith and practice that faith in their places of work and residence. The CCPC Young Adult Ministry also highly values young adults integrating into the full life of the church, doing mission together, robust theological truth, and the care of young adult needs.

We welcome anyone post-college through their early thirties- single, married, working. Whatever age or stage you find yourself in, we hope you will find community amidst our events and groups. Please know that you are welcome and your presence will be cherished!

Young Adult Sunday Class

The class occurs during the Adult Spiritual Formation hour at 9:50 AM on Sunday mornings. The class is designed for both singles and couples, post-college, in their 20's and early 30's.   We are in the west building, the CLC, upstairs in room 212.  In January through March, we will be working through the book of Colossians in an in-depth fashion.  You will want to see how the pluralistic and heretical environment of the ancient Colossians is similar to our current American culture.

Small Groups

We have small groups for couples, singles, and a mix.  For more info on any of these, please contact Dave Strunk below for more info.

-A couple of small groups for young couples that occur on various nights of the week.

-A small group singles bible study occurs on Thursday nights at 7:00pm in the Fireside Room (room 109) in the main building.  Currently studying the Psalms.

-A small group w/ both couples that meets bi-weekly on Sunday nights.

Other small groups starting soon.  Again, please contact Dave Strunk for more info.

Ways to Serve

The young adult ministry at CCPC has a heart for ministering cross-culturally.  As such, young adults at Cherry Creek work with refugees in mentoring situations with Lutheran Family Services.  Contact Dave below for more information.
