Auction, Dinner & Talent Show

The preparations for the 2010 Youth Auction and dinner are well underway ! We hope that your family plans to attend on Sunday, March 14. It's a fun evening of bidding, eating, fellowship and the talent show is always a highlight!

Each year the Parent Council (a team of parents of middle school and senior high students who provide guidance and support to our Student Ministries) run this important event to raise money for camps, retreats, mission trips and youth leader training. The money raised at last year's fundraiser provided over 50 scholarships to families in need and offset the cost of our camps and retreats for everyone who attended. We have personally seen the impact these camps and retreats have had on our own kids!

Over the past couple of months Parent Council has been soliciting donations from local businesses and church members. Gift certificates, tickets to sporting events, and lodging opportunities in the mountains are just a few of the many items that will be auctioned. We are still looking to bring in more donations for this year's fundraiser. Would you join with us and donate an item to the auction? Talk to the manager of your dry cleaner or favorite restaurant, your hair stylist, or your company. We will send those who donate a receipt for their tax deductable donation. Donations should be turned into the youth office or to a youth staff member by Friday March 5th. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

We truly hope to see you at the Youth Auction on Sunday, March 14th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. A talent show will feature our very own middle school and senior high students and dinner is free! So, please invite grandparents, neighbors and friends to join you on this very special evening.
