The Legacy of William Carey, by Vishal & Ruth Mangalwadi (266.921 CAREY). This missionary did more to transform the Indian subcontinent than perhaps any other individual.
Candle in the Dark: The Story of William Carey (DVD 921 CAREY) Here is a fine documentary on his life and mission.
C. H. SPURGEON: PREACHER OF THE WORD (1834-1892)
C. H. Spurgeon: The People's Preacher (DVD 270.8 SPURGEON), a good introduction to the man and his ministry.
The Power of Prayer in a Believer's Life, by CH Spurgeon (248.32 SPURGEON). Prayer was at the core of his preaching and his church.
DIETRICH BONHOEFFER: THE THEOLOGIAN WHO CHALLENGED HITLER (1906-1945)
Bonhoeffer : Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy : A Righteous Gentile vs. the Third Reich, by Eric Metaxas (921 BONHOEFFER). This highly acclaimed new biography gives an inside view of the man and his time.
Life Together, by Dietrich Bonhoeffer (248.4 BONHOEFFER). Not as famous as Cost of Discipleship, but this is perhaps his most valuable book for us today.
C.S. LEWIS: THE ATHEIST OXFORD DON TURNED APOLOGIST (1898-1963)

Mere Christianity, by C. S. Lewis (239 LEWIS). His most famous, and still valuable, defense of the faith.
