World Outreach Team

The World Outreach Ministry at CCPC operates in three directions: to a world in need of Christ, to our missionaries who need our care, prayer and support, and to our church members who need to be educated and involved in missions as Christ's disciples with a world focus.

More specifically, the Team's job is:

• To pray and stimulate prayer for the work of Christ both in Denver and to the ends of the earth.

• To educate adults and children at CCPC about missions: the needs of the world, the call of every Christian to be involved in fulfilling the Great Commission, and the progress of the ministries and missionaries we support as a church.

• To involve the congregation in missions in concrete ways that open their eyes and hearts to the world and help them discover their part in fulfilling the Great Commission.

• To responsibly allocate financial assistance to those missionaries and mission programs which have strategic value for the work of Christ.

• To care for missionaries that we support in such a way as to involve the congregation more personally in their life and ministry.

 

The Team itself is open to CCPC members willing to use their time and talents to promote these objectives.

 

Some of the ways one can serve in the World Outreach Ministry at CCPC include:

• Adopting certain missionaries for prayer and correspondence, e-mails, etc.

• Helping plan and implement the foreign and/or domestic missions banquets.

• Helping serve or clean up after missions lunches.

• Hosting a missionary and/or missionary family when they are visiting CCPC.

• Participating in or leading a short-term missions team.

• Participating in and/or leading prayer groups that pray for missionaries.

• Increasing awareness of the persecuted church.

• Helping with publicity.
