Starting June 1, 2014, we will begin new worship times.
Sundays at Cherry Creek are designed to be a gentle collision of energy and reflection. The halls are filled with quiet conversations, and the classrooms simmer with the laughter and learning of adults and children. Prayer and teaching rise above cups of coffee. Bibles are opened. Questions are discussed.
In the Sanctuary, lit by beams from sparkling stained glass windows, a massive Cross stands over the people of God as we worship and pray. We desire to submit ourselves before a magnificent God, and love Him with everything we are—our lives, our possessions, our words, our families, and our passions. We believe God is especially pleased when we worship collectively. Such worship knits us together, strengthens our relationships, and fuels our service for Christ. Our pastoral team loves to preach the Bible in an expository fashion, so that the Holy Spirit can transform lives and grow God’s people deeper. We aspire to help people understand the day-to-day relevance of the Bible, while allowing God to shape our hearts by His tangible presence.
We love music, and seek to experience excellence in worship across different many forms, from traditional to contemporary. A classical choir in robes may lead us. Or a guitar band, with trombone and violin. No matter the style, we seek to blend a reverent, high-church liturgy with a chance to laugh and celebrate. In all of this, we seek to worship in a way that causes spiritual growth, is relevant and welcoming for all, and remains rooted to our ancient, orthodox Christian history.
Central to spiritual formation at CCPC is the preaching of the Scriptures each Sunday morning by our pastors (click here for audio archives). They aim to preach expositionally in the power of the Holy Spirit in a way which transforms lives and brings glory to God.
Written while imprisoned in Rome, Philippians is one of the shortest books in the Bible and one of the apostle Paul’s shortest letters. Despite its brevity, this tiny book is packed with lessons for Christians, and in particular how we are to be joyful at all times regardless of circumstances. The words "joy" and "rejoice" are used 16 times in the epistle, and through this sermon series, you will discover how you, too, can truly live a life of joy.
Starting June 1, 2014, we will begin new worship times.
Worship at 8:45am is a classical service with traditional hymns, choir and pipe organ.
Worship at 10:30am is a convergence service with music led by rock and folk bands, mixing ancient and modern liturgical elements, with new and old settings of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
At each service, children are welcome to attend with their parents, and then are excused to children’s church.
Our children's church program is offered during 8:45am and 10:30am services. KiDs' Church is an energy-pumped, praise-filled worship time with music, prayer, games, drama and video. Children in kindergarten and older may attend. All children start in the sanctuary with their family. After the Greeting, chldren will meet at the fish tank outside the sanctuary and go to:

Spiritual formation is one of our core values at Cherry Creek, and speaks of the spiritual growth we see when we invest ourselves in moving toward God, learning about Him, and seeking His purposes for our lives. Every man, woman, and child is on a spiritual journey, somewhere, moving toward or away from God. We want to be people who are growing more spiritually mature in our journey, becoming more like Jesus every day. This growth occurs, bit by bit, when we surrender to Him, learn about Him, listen to Him, serve Him, and worship Him.
Don’t miss out on the fantastic learning opportunities beyond the worship services.
Month@creek will give you the details for our current Spiritual Formation classes.
infants, toddlers & family room
Often, the place where a child begins the adventure at kids@creek is the nursery, where volunteers minister to families by providing a warm and caring environment for children six weeks through two years. Our early childhood professional staff and volunteers provide the children with age appropriate environments, toys, music and activities where children learn that God loves them and we do too!
An active place where 3-5 year olds experience hands on activities to give them a variety of experiences so they can begin to lay spiritual foundations. FUN is the key to a preschooler’s heart and that is what we give them as they sing, learn about God’s love through Bible stories and object lessons, play and make crafts to take home. Our preschool rooms offer classes all morning led by two nurturing adults each, all of whom have had training and background screenings or are early childhood professionals. See our Children's Ministry page for more information.
Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Engaging classes for each age group are offered. Boys and girls in 4th and 5th grades are in gender specific classes to offer the best environments for learning, building friendships and meeting the individual learning styles of boys and girls. Children learn, apply and experience concrete examples of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him. Christ-centered and kid targeted, we take them on a journey through Show Me Jesus curriculum to learn about God’s plan, how they fit into it, what it means to follow Him in the context of relationships with each other and committed believing adult volunteers.

Whether it's for companionship, conversation or something to stave off hunger pangs until lunch, stop by fuel at the end of the hall in the main building where you can listen to the sermon, or grab a cup of coffee or tea and a donut between services. In this informal setting, you'll be able to relax in an easy chair, sit at a table with others, or browse our extensive library for a book to pass the time. Donuts and coffee also are available in the CLC Trinity Hall and upstairs at the coffee bar.
